Fresh off a long-haul flight from Asia, we were ready to slow down and settle in. Within minutes of arriving, that signature Four Seasons service kicked in: smooth check-in, warm smiles, and a seamless transition from busy airport to blissful calm.

Our Deluxe Park-View Room overlooked the treetops of Eduardo VII Park, with beautiful views stretching across the Lisbon skyline. The design leaned into timeless elegance — neutral tones, plush textures, and just the right touch of old-world charm. Floor-to-ceiling windows filled the space with natural light, while rich fabrics, curated artwork, and one of the most comfortable beds we’ve slept in made it hard to leave. The marble bathroom featured double vanities, a deep soaking tub, and luxe amenities that added to the overall sense of indulgence.

Waiting in our room was a lovely selection of fresh fruits, traditional Pastéis de Nata, and a welcome drink — the kind of thoughtful detail that never goes unnoticed.

We started at the indoor pool, where soft lighting, detox water, herbal teas, and calming music set the mood for some much-needed post-travel recovery. But what truly stood out was the rooftop fitness center. Without exaggeration, this is one of the most complete hotel gyms we’ve seen — floor-to-ceiling windows, Technogym equipment, and panoramic views of Lisbon. Add to that a 400-meter open-air running track circling the rooftop under the iconic Ritz sign, and you have a fitness experience that’s as inspiring as it is scenic.

Breakfast Two Ways: By the Window or in the Room

Mornings at Varanda Restaurant are a treat. The breakfast buffet is both refined and generous, with made-to-order specialties like lobster eggs Benedict and fluffy pancakes alongside fresh local pastries, cold-pressed juices, and everything you’d expect from a five-star European spread.

The next morning, we opted for in-room breakfast — which turned out to be just as well-curated and beautifully laid out with city views and the same attention to detail. Both experiences felt curated, not overdone. Sometimes, slow mornings are the most luxurious part of a trip.

Exploring Lisbon by Vintage Sidecar

One of the standout moments of our stay was an exclusive sidecar tour, arranged through the hotel. Cruising through Lisbon’s iconic viewpoints and hidden gems on this vintage sidecar was an immersive way to experience the city like a local. Our journey included a stop at a tucked-away, authentic café — far from the tourist crowds — where we savored a perfect coffee and absorbed Lisbon’s true essence.
